Albany Medical College

Phyllis Ying is a Class of 2016 medical student at Albany Medical College. She attended the University of Washington in Seattle and graduated in 2010 with degrees in ecology and neurobiology. Her current interests are in family medicine, with a focus on community health and advocacy. She is the president of Albany Med's chapter of the New York State Public Health Association, as well as the Family Medicine Interest Group.

She is an outdoors enthusiast, and most recently has gone fishing for wild sockeye in Alaska. She is proud to say she caught five fish all by herself.
