Cody is a third year medical student at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, WV class of 2021. In 2015, he graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science/Arts in biology. In 2019, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Masters in public health. He enjoys training for triathlons and marathons in his spare time. After graduating medical school, Cody would like to pursue a career in surgery.
As medical students, we marvel at the endless combinations of letters often embroidered on white coats representing physicians’ degrees and association affiliations: MD, MBBS, DO, PhD, MSc, MBA, MPH, MPP, MS, MTR, JD, MSHP and so on. This “alphabet soup” represents the important diversity that exists in our profession.
