Ogechukwu (Oge) Opaigbeogu is a third-year medical student at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY class of 2023. In 2018, she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience. She enjoys baking, knitting, traveling, writing, film, and the arts. After graduating from medical school, Oge would like to pursue a career in dermatology.
There are two main types of advocacy: community-based advocacy — which consists of direct provision of services to marginalized populations — and political advocacy — which involves crafting legislation that affects a large group of people.
