Bran The Man

This is a portrait of my friend and fellow medical school classmate, Brandon. His smile reflects the joy that comes with finding one’s purpose and understanding that one can benefit others through medical learning. Though medical school is arduous at times, it is important to remember that we don’t have to study, we get to study and become healers. All too often, we slip into a negative mindset and complain about difficult exams or the long hours we invest. We forget that medicine is a calling that we are privileged to answer, and that there is joy in curing a child’s bellyache or setting a broken bone.
