Overload

If I don’t text back

please don’t think it’s you,

it’s the abundance of info

that I must go through.

It’s the never ending emails

on 4 separate accounts.

The WhatsApp and GroupMe’s

and more I can’t pronounce.

There are even some apps

I’ve yet to install,

there’s too much to see

with just two eyeballs.

There’s the news notifications

and meeting reminders.

Plus, I get distracted

when I see spiders.

So I sincerely apologize

if I seem aloof,

and I acknowledge that this is

a poor witted excuse.

But I’ll be around soon

so have no fear,

since I graduate med school

in less than a year.

And then I’ll have time!

Well, kinda, we’ll see.

Since then I’ll be in

intern year of residency.
